Truthful Manipulation
I find Christine’s account of her life compelling and amazing, as it comes through the eyes of a baby, teen and adult who is living and coping in the RCMP Witness Protection Program.
Forced into the WPP through her father’s involvement as an informer to the RCMP, Christine lives among the dregs of society, witnessing drug use, alcoholism and other atrocities without the skills and guidance to cope. Leading her to severe mental health issues over a lifetime of ups and downs.
Christine devotes this book to help herself deal with the reality of her past, and to help others regardless of whether they are in the WPP, or just living what is seemed to be a normal life. No doubt this book will help many people in dealing with their inner demons.
This should be a must read for all RCMP Officers.
BG (Ret) Jeffrey L. Pierson - Cape May County CommissionerHeat felt, heart wrenching and heart warming are the best ways to describe Christine Derry’s story and how she overcame so many damaging circumstances, to discover who she is and why she matters. Christine deserves to be a victim and to think and act with anger and negativity at her family and at a society who threw her like a ball bouncing without direction on a roulette wheel. Instead, she chooses a path of healing herself and others. Bring Kleenex to cry, and hands to applaud.
